Senior executives at leading companies completed EqualAI’s Badge© Program to learn and implement effective AI self-governance practices

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 15, 2026 – EqualAI, a nonprofit organization dedicated to AI governance, literacy, and research, announced that senior executives at Match Group, M&T Bank Google DeepMind, LivePerson, PepsiCo, Priceline, SAS, Tinder, and Verizon have successfully completed EqualAI’s Badge Program on AI Governance and earned their Badge certifications, joining a community of leading organizations dedicated to thoughtful stewardship and oversight of AI systems. This marks the sixth cohort of graduates to complete the program, with more than 100 senior executive graduates committed to effective AI governance to date.

Over six sessions, participants from across three continents discussed pressing issues at the forefront of AI governance and heard from leading experts, including from Capitol Hill, the World Economic Forum, and companies such as Amazon Web Services and Google DeepMind, and Salesforce. Last month, the cohort was also invited to participate in an in-person Summit on Agentic AI in Washington, D.C. A white paper with findings from that summit will be released in summer 2026.

“We are proud of the thoughtful and robust conversations that participants in this sixth cohort of the EqualAI Badge Program have engaged in over the past six months,” said Miriam Vogel, President and CEO of EqualAI. “As new developments in the AI space arise, these practitioners recognize the most effective way to promote trust and safely deploy AI systems is to align with experts and peers across industry.”

EqualAI’s Badge community network includes senior executives from Amazon Web Services (AWS), CommonSpirit, Google DeepMind, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Indeed, LivePerson, Match Group, M&T Bank, Microsoft, Northrop Grumman, PepsiCo, Priceline, Salesforce, SignifyHealth, Stanley Black & Decker, Starbucks, Uber, Verizon, Visa, and Walmart, who have each earned Badge certification since the program launched in 2021.

“What I found most valuable was the opportunity to engage with current, real-world challenges in AI governance—ranging from implementation strategies and oversight mechanisms to emerging issues such as agentic AI. The diversity of speakers and participants also made the experience especially enriching, as it allowed for thoughtful discussion and exchange of ideas across different sectors,” said Rhea Rajwani, Head of AI & Emerging Banking Solutions Risk at M&T Bank. “I would highly recommend this program to colleagues.”

Speakers in the Badge Program include Daniel Dobrygowski and Karla Yee Amezaga of the World Economic Forum; Cathy O’Neil, author of Weapons of Math Destruction; Kathy Baxter of Salesforce; Dawn Bloxwich and Tom Lue of Google DeepMind; Peter Hallinan of AWS; and current and former Hill staffers leading in AI policy: Ashley Callen, Jenner & Block, BJ Koohmaraie, Office of Majority Leader Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA), and Grace Brightbill, Office of Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA). This year’s Badge cohort participated in the following sessions:

  • Session 1: The Competitive Advantage of Effective AI Governance
  • Session 2: Creating an Effective AI Assessment
  • Session 3: Is Your Agentic AI Safe to Launch?
  • Session 4: Tools and Strategies to Operationalize Responsible AI Governance
  • Session 5: Role of Lawyers and the Law in AI Policy and Governance
  • Session 6: The AI Policy Horizon
